I obviously can't dress like this anymore... well, at least until the harsh cold slowly goes away for summer. Dressing up in London, even if it's just a grocery run, has been quite a challenging task. If you thought the Singapore weather was bad (read: as unpredictable as we all are on our periods) then London is... I don't even know. BUT, as fashion is ever evolving this is a great way for me to really experiment with my wardrobe with layering my thick knits under summer dresses and playsuits, as scarce as it is at the moment; blame the airline luggage restrictions! It's amazing how i've been thinking a lot about the way fashion functions in a today's context, whether in society or on the runway, thanks to my classes in University. By now, most of you would have realised that no, I'm not in London for a holiday. I wish. I'll be here for the next three years studying at London College of Fashion and will most definitely be documenting the whole process as part of my desire to see some personal growth. My classes have already been really helpful in stimulating my thinking and taking me a step further in my creative process, and it's only been two weeks. Time to kick ass.
on a side note, Shopbop has been so lovely to been dressing me these past few months! And their annual fall season sale is ongoing at the moment with crazy deals of some really gorgeous pieces — I managed to score a Marc Jacobs crossbody bag at a steal, which i will share with everyone the moment it arrives at my doorstep!
